Center and Circle: Multi-Cultural Astrology Through the Ages

The human capacity for art and for measuring time by quantity and quality may be the two things that truly distinguish us fromother species. Much of our earliest art, from the caves of Lascaux, and the architecture of ancient Mesopotamia, through the statues of Classical Greece and Rome, Renaissance paintings, and into the modern era reflect the human exploration of astrology. We can also get a glimpse of astrology as an indicator of changing fashions in art, and how artistic themes can serve, like the Tarot, as packages of astrological imagery.

Jack Fertig was born 21 Feb. 1955 12:16 pm cst [18.16 gmt] in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and has been studying Astrology since 1969 and practicing professionally in San Francisco since 1980. A long time columnist in the San Francisco Bay Times and then the San Francisco Spectrum, he has also written for a number of other journals and magazines. He teaches classes and offers both personal and business consultations, but his principle interest is in outer planet motions and their correlations to social and historical changes. He is a member of the International Society for Astrological Research, the National Council for Geo-Cosmic Research, and a founding member of the Association For Astrological Networking.

Astro-Preneur: Do You Have What It Takes To Become A Successful Astrologer?

Do you wish you were a professional astrologer? It takes more than knowing when Mercury is retrograde to build a viable practice! This class geared to anyone who’s dreamed of quitting their day job to become a practicing astrologer, whether or not you’ve taken the leap. We’ll first identify the four cornerstones of any successful astrology practice. Then each participant will take the Astro-Preneur Aptitude Test to identify strong and weak areas of practice development, discover the specific skill areas in which you naturally excel, and exactly where you’ll need to improve, based on those four cornerstones. Discover if developing an astrological practice might be the path for you. There will be lots of interactive, fun discussion in this workshop.
